Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications according to prescription orders
- Manage inventory control and medication compounding processes
- Operate automated dispensing systems and electronic health records
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives
- Process insurance claims and third-party reimbursements
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB/ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in pharmacy software (Omnicell, Cerner)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
