Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information to ensure billing accuracy.
- Assist the pharmacist with medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments and stocking shelves.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems to input prescriptions and track patient records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries and addressing patient concerns.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration eligible in the state of Arizona.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
