Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Adhere to all state/federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA compliance standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and record-keeping
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in medication handling
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service orientation
- Background check and drug screen required
