Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for daily operations
- Adhere to HIPAA and DEA regulatory compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficiency with pharmacy technology systems
- Background check and drug screening required
