Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately process and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage pharmacy inventory, and order necessary supplies.
- Patient Interaction: Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Quality Control: Verify prescription information and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Compounding: Prepare specialized medications and compounds as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPHT) or registration with the Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, McKesson).
