Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with FDA, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Assist with prescription verification and compounding tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy Technician certification preferred (training provided)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain)
