Responsibilities
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing to patients.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and counting pharmaceutical products.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding of medications and maintenance of controlled substance records.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and resolving insurance issues.
- Process electronic prescriptions and ensure timely fulfillment of patient orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment compliant with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to sit for the PTCB/ExCPT exam.
- Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician License required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
