Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, process, and dispense prescription medications according to legal and safety standards.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders to ensure accuracy.
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation of sterile compounding and chemotherapy if required.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and performing cycle counts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving medication-related concerns.
- Process insurance claims, copayments, and return authorizations efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current and valid Oklahoma State Pharmacy Technician License.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient computer skills with experience in pharmacy software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, or Epic).
