Responsibilities
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly counts.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries, insurance verification, and payment processing.
- Utilize pharmacy management software (e.g., RxWorks, Cerner) to update patient records.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and generic names.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed (40+ WPM).
