Responsibilities
- Accurately verify, prepare, and package prescription medications for dispensing.
- Assist pharmacists in reviewing prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and stock rotation.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone inquiries and addressing patient concerns.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or PCEB) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
