Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients accurately and efficiently.
- Verify physician orders and input data into pharmacy management systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic).
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries and provide basic health education.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions at the point of service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or state license if required).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of pharmacy software.
