Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patient pickup and delivery.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries and provide general health education.
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and process incoming shipments.
- Process insurance claims, handle co-pays, and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow and patient service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Pennsylvania State Pharmacy Technician license.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred but not mandatory for qualified applicants.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner) is a plus.
