Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and process incoming prescriptions according to legal and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding medications and quality assurance checks.
- Operate pharmacy software systems and maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
