Responsibilities
- Verify and process prescription orders with extreme accuracy.
- Prepare and package medications according to physician orders.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide basic counseling.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
