Responsibilities
- Verify Prescription Orders: Accurately check and process prescription requests for dosage, interactions, and patient allergies.
- Medication Dispensing: Prepare and package medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage pharmacy inventory, and order pharmaceutical supplies efficiently.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients and healthcare providers to answer questions, process insurance claims, and resolve concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal laws, including HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and pharmacy documentation.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Detail Oriented: Ability to perform tasks with high precision and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
