Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information, prescriptions, and insurance details for accuracy.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide excellent service.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy and patient care plans.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay collections.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license or certification (CPhT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
