Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens for diagnostic testing. You will play a critical role in the patient experience, ensuring accuracy and comfort during every procedure.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws efficiently and accurately.
- Verify patient information and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Label, process, and store specimens following strict laboratory safety protocols.
- Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs and updating medical records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and physicians to resolve any issues.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent state certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills and a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients or equipment as needed.
