Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Collect, label, and prepare biological specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Verify patient identification and medical history prior to every procedure to ensure compliance.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Manage inventory of supplies and maintain a clean, sterile work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous healthcare experience is a plus, but willingness to enroll in our paid training program is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to put patients at ease.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform fine motor skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not required upon start.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation are recommended.
