Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following OSHA protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately with LIS system proficiency
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Maintain inventory and calibration of phlebotomy equipment
- Train new staff on phlebotomy techniques and safety standards
- Collaborate with lab and clinical teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification (PTA or CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Experience with LIS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
