Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict protocols
- Process, label, and transport specimens to lab facilities
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Collaborate with clinical team for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in blood collection
- Valid Nebraska phlebotomy license
- Strong venipuncture skills with pediatric and geriatric patients
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
