Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection with precision and patient care
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EHR systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team for seamless patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic health record systems (EHR)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
