Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens with strict adherence to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and work environment
- Provide compassionate patient care during blood draw procedures
- Utilize LIS systems for specimen tracking and data entry
- Collaborate with laboratory team for efficient workflow
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Excellent venipuncture skills with low complication rates
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficient in specimen processing and handling
