Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Label, process, and transport specimens to laboratory departments
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Verify patient identification and document collection procedures accurately
- Operate centrifuges, analyzers, and other laboratory equipment
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient workflow
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Current CPR/BLS certification
