- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining chain of custody
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize phlebotomy workflows
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or AMT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen processing
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient groups
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology
