Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols and ESI scoring
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Monitor vital signs and document clinical observations in EMR systems
- Provide initial interventions including wound care, medication administration, and diagnostic support
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Current CA RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology and EMR documentation
- Strong assessment skills for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Calm demeanor under pressure with exceptional communication abilities
- Experience with telehealth triage systems preferred
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
