Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and minimal discomfort.
- Maintain a sterile environment and strictly adhere to OSHA and HIPAA safety regulations.
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
- Verify patient identity and medical information before every procedure.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensure the collection station is well-stocked.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to ensure a seamless experience.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or ASCP preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in a clinical or hospital setting is a plus.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
