Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and label blood specimens for laboratory testing.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety during collection.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with nurses and lab staff to ensure timely specimen delivery.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, venipuncture techniques, and specimen handling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
