Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Document patient information and test results in EMR systems
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely specimen processing
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or GED required
