Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA compliance standards
- Maintain sterile equipment and exam rooms per OSHA guidelines
- Verify patient identity and prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Provide exceptional patient education during blood collection
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
