Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to stand for long periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
