Responsibilities
- Manage complex medical billing processes for 200+ patient accounts with 98% accuracy
- Oversee insurance claim submissions and denials resolution for Medicare/Medicaid/private payers
- Lead training initiatives for 3+ junior billing staff on CPT/ICD-10 coding updates
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure HIPAA compliance and revenue cycle optimization
- Collaborate with physicians to resolve billing discrepancies within 48-hour SLA
- Implement process improvements resulting in 15% reduction in claim denials
- Generate monthly financial reports for practice management team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with 2+ years in leadership/supervisory role
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding systems and CMS guidelines
- Proven track record in reducing claim denials below 5% industry average
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or NextGen EHR systems
