Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Operate centrifuges, analyzers, and digital record systems
- Provide patient education on pre-test procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for seamless workflow
- Document procedures in electronic health records
- Inventory and maintain provided phlebotomy supplies
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or PBT)
- 1+ years clinical blood draw experience
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen training certification
- Proficiency with specimen processing equipment
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Basic computer literacy for EHR systems
- Valid CPR certification
