Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided advanced equipment
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Document patient information and test results in EMR systems
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Calibrate and maintain provided phlebotomy devices
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient specimen processing
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical blood collection experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in handling provided automated collection systems
- Exceptional communication and patient comfort skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
