Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using provided premium equipment
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Operate automated analyzers and centrifuges with on-site training
- Maintain sterile workstations and calibrated collection devices
- Document procedures accurately in our EMR system
- Train on new phlebotomy technologies quarterly
Qualifications
- Current NC Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- 1+ years clinical blood collection experience
- Proficiency with evacuated tube systems and microcollection devices
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification
- Ability to operate centrifuges and automated analyzers
- Excellent venipuncture technique on diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
