Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using SBAR protocols to determine acuity levels
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists to prioritize patient care workflows
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during emergencies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation
- Oversee triage station operations and mentor junior nursing staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with crisis management expertise
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
