Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and minimal discomfort.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling according to strict laboratory protocols.
- Maintain a sterile, clean, and organized phlebotomy station and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate anxiety.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to process and transport specimens efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) or related certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
