Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws efficiently and accurately.
- Verify patient identity and medical information before collection.
- Properly label, process, and store blood specimens according to laboratory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and sterilize equipment.
- Assist patients with comfort and answering questions regarding the procedure.
- Handle patient billing and insurance verification as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
- Current state licensure as required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients if necessary.
