Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood draws and specimen collection following HIPAA protocols
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory processing
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and calibrated equipment
- Provide compassionate patient care during stressful procedures
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Adhere to all OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent venipuncture skills for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work between 12-24 hours weekly
- Must pass background check and drug screening
