Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience.
- Label, process, and transport specimens accurately to the laboratory.
- Manage inventory of blood collection supplies and order new materials as needed.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (CPT, CPT-I, or equivalent) required.
- State of Massachusetts Phlebotomy License.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of EMR/EHR systems.
