Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following OSHA and CLIA guidelines
- Process and label specimens accurately with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile equipment and calibration of phlebotomy tools
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory staff for efficient workflow management
- Document all procedures and maintain HIPAA-compliant records
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Phlebotomy Technician certification (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong venipuncture skills with minimal patient discomfort
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
