Responsibilities
- Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, verify identities, and explain procedures to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Quality Control: Label, process, and log blood samples according to strict laboratory standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Sanitize and maintain phlebotomy equipment and workstations.
- Record Keeping: Accurately complete patient charts and documentation.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCPT, ASPT, NHA, or equivalent).
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong manual dexterity and knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
