Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Explain collection procedures to patients to ensure compliance and reduce anxiety.
- Label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory accurately and promptly.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety and infection control guidelines.
- Update and verify patient information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Valid North Carolina State Phlebotomy License.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
