As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process, ensuring accurate specimen collection and patient comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with high accuracy and minimal patient discomfort.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens to the laboratory efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards (OSHA).
- Interact professionally and empathetically with patients of all ages to ensure a positive experience.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate documentation of all procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and sterilize phlebotomy equipment.
- Assist with patient intake and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification (e.g., ASPT, NHA).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred, but we are willing to train qualified new graduates.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for potential mobile duties.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and venipuncture techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
