Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Collaborate with lab staff for specimen transport and processing
- Implement infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NHA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in LIS systems and electronic documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Attention to detail and specimen handling accuracy
- Nevada state phlebotomy license required
