Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
- Process, label, and transport specimens accurately to laboratory departments
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and sterilize equipment per protocol
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draws, minimizing discomfort and anxiety
- Document patient information and test results with precision in electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain current best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn electronic medical record systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- CPR certification preferred (will be provided if needed)
