Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following strict safety protocols
- Label, process, and transport specimens to lab facilities with 100% accuracy
- Maintain sterile work environments and calibrated equipment
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Document specimen data in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and lab staff on specimen handling
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification
- Strong venipuncture skills in diverse patient populations
