Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety standards
- Handle specimen processing and documentation requirements
- Operate surgical equipment including cameras and robotic systems
- Inventory and restock supplies between cases
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Proficiency in orthopedic, general surgery, and specialty procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
