Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection with precision
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols
- Utilize LIS systems for accurate patient data entry and tracking
- Delve patient education on pre-test preparations and procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
- Collaborate with laboratory teams for efficient workflow optimization
- Implement quality control measures for specimen integrity
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT1)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Valid California driver's license (for specimen transport)
