Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient venipunctures and capillary blood draws.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations.
- Ensure proper labeling, processing, and storage of blood specimens.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and physicians to facilitate timely results.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile phlebotomy area.
- Handle sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Phlebotomy Technician (PT) certification required.
- Current, valid Arizona State Phlebotomy license.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for highly qualified candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
