Your Role:
As a Caregiver, you will provide essential personal care assistance to clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will build lasting relationships while helping them maintain their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting) with patience and dignity.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary requirements.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and recreational activities.
- Administer medication as directed by the client's physician and maintain accurate medication logs.
- Monitor the client's health status and promptly report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is highly preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- A genuine passion for geriatric care and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
